My daughter and I did made it atop the rarely-used overpass and see the fireworks. My camera ran out of battery just after I turned it on. I forgot to recharged them after the marathon shoot during family christmas day party. The fireworks were marvelous.

Hi! Nice blogsite you have here! I'm an Ilonggo too, and actually a co-worker of Junelle (intiendes.com). I agree with the lack of content, or rather the total lack of anything, in the Dinagyang Foundation's website. You're right; it should be the first place to go for people searching for schedules and other info about Dinagyang. But perhaps I shouldn't be complaining, since their loss is my gain. Type in "Dinagyang 2007" in Google and my blogsite will be among the top five results. I don't mean to brag, but I'm honestly proud about this.

Oh, btw, can we share links? I'd like to link to another blogsite from Iloilo, even though I rarely post anything about Iloilo City and its affairs. I share your sentiments, though.

Make the internet as reliable as electricity in Iloilo? that'll be a bleak scenario ... hehe

I didn't expect that most of Asia was connected by only a few submarine cables, I was thinking that trans-oceanic data transfer is done wirelessly.

Right now with Bayantel, I'm still experiencing a slow down in accessing some sites (like flickr) it's really not cool.

I'm currently subscribed with Bayantel. They were the first ISP to provide broadband services to Mandurriao, so we kinda stuck to them :) I have no problems with speed but the reliability is something that I have been dealing with ever since. Puro utod-utod hampang ko because of the frequent 1-2 minutes disconnection.

The upside is that they have a very good tech support whenever a major connection problem occurs.

I'd say switch. We've been subscribing to myDSL since 2004. We've had ups and downs with the service before but they're just a phonecall away when problem arises. Recently, we kept getting disconnected and their technician said that we're having a slow connection and he just upgraded our speed! We're still paying 999/mo and I ain't complaining. :)

Yeah, Peppy's another place. But I haven't been to it for more than a year now as I usually eat out at night and they're only open during lunch. I don't know if that's still the case. They're my favorite when it comes to thai food. I remembered them having only 2 tables 10 years ago. And the place looks worse than a karenderia. They've really gone a long way.
