HBO backed down on covering the Pacquiao-Chi fight in Macau for fear of being dragged into Golden Boy Promotions and Top Rank mess. And it look like the Pacquiao-Chi fight doesn't even have a venue yet.

While people connected to Wynn Macau Hotel are denying any knowledge about a fight Pacquiao is supposed to have there against Korean In jin Chi on April 28, HBO has backed out of the coverage of the event apparently because of certain legal implications caused by the Filipino ring sensation’s decision to stick it out with Top Rank. HBO backed out of the coverage because Golden Boy Promotions, the Oscar De La Hoya outfit that signed Pacquiao to a seven-fight deal, sent the cable giant a letter saying it will be dragged into the legal mess currently hounding Top Rank if it will air the Pacquiao-Chi fight. Now, we wait. In the meantime, I hope he won't be fooled by getting into politics. I read somewhere that he's being lured into running for public office in his hometown.
