I guess this is still a problem? We're still having trouble establishing transpacific telephone calls between VoIP services in the USA and Globelines customers in Iloilo.

This is indeed unfortunate. Up to now, we are still helpless about the country's lack of alternate connections to the rest of the online world. My sympathy to those adversely affected. I also lament having to endure the poor video quality in my weekend video chats with family members in Iloilo.

I'm currently subscribed with Bayantel. They were the first ISP to provide broadband services to Mandurriao, so we kinda stuck to them :) I have no problems with speed but the reliability is something that I have been dealing with ever since. Puro utod-utod hampang ko because of the frequent 1-2 minutes disconnection.

The upside is that they have a very good tech support whenever a major connection problem occurs.

I'd say switch. We've been subscribing to myDSL since 2004. We've had ups and downs with the service before but they're just a phonecall away when problem arises. Recently, we kept getting disconnected and their technician said that we're having a slow connection and he just upgraded our speed! We're still paying 999/mo and I ain't complaining. :)
