Mawe's Adobo have other schedule of activities for Dinagyang Festival 2007.

• January 13-14 - Ms. Iloilo Dinagyang 2007 Talent Competition and Fashion Showcase (Amigo Terrace Hotel) at 4pm
• January 15-30 - Display of “Dinagyang Best Headdress Competition” entries (Robinson’s Mall) at 10am to 9pm
• January 19 - Opening Salvo of the Kasadyahan Festival at 8am/Dinagyang Festival at 2pm
• January 19 - Kasadyahan Parade Rehearsal at 9pm

Kalibo, Aklan celebrates their Ati-Atihan Festival ahead of Iloilo City's Dinagyang Festival. I was curious how much preparations did our neighbors did. A quick search on what to expect from Ati-Atihan Festival 2007 led me to www.ati-atihan.net. A much better site than what we have here in Iloilo.

It has everything you need to know about Ati-Atihan Festival: schedule of events, its history, popular destinations, festival photos... If I'm a tourist looking for information about Ati-Atihan, I could've been lured into visiting Kalibo just from reading the site.

Tribu Bola-Bola of Iloilo National High School will not be joining the Dinagyang Festival 2007 main event, ati-ati contest. This was confirmed by Mr. Ben Jimena of Dinagyang Executive Committee. The group has yet to disclose their reason for not joining the contest.

The Dinagyang Executive Committee is contemplating on reducing the number of tribes to perform from the current 22 tribes down to 15 tribes. Mr. Jimena cited the purposed of the reduction is to increase the time and quality of each tribe performances.

Dinagyang 2007 advertising grants from Smart Communication and Globe Telecoms were reduced.
