What's a Pritson Manok?
I was intrigued by the new menu item from one of our favorite restaurant, Wok's in Mabini St., Iloilo City. The new menu is pritson manok and they even have a nice picture of it. I know restaurants have this uncanny ability to invent name for some common menu (I don't know why they do this. Go look at Pirate's Bar's menu for example.) and I'm wondering if I have came across this one before. Mang Inasal have pritson manok advertised.
I presume it's a fried and roasted chicken at the same time as the name suggest. What boggles me is how's it done. Do I fry the chicken first and roast it next or the other way around?
Forgive me if I have a big problem with this seemingly trivial matter. It's christmas weekend and we're thinking of things to cook for that potluck christmas dinner of the our clan. Maybe I should just go to the nearest Mang Inasal branch and have a taste of their pritson manok.
