What's The Best DSL Provider In Iloilo?
My Broadband/DSL plan with Globelines will be due next month. I'm thinking of switching provider. Perhaps Bayantel or PLDT's MyDSL. I don't have any idea how the last two perform but I read a lot of negative comments about MyDSL. I don't know if the same is the case here in Iloilo City.
I've been happy with Globelines Broadband even with the troubles I get from them three months ago when claim (Did they really?) to upgrade speeds. Other than that they were good. I thought about changing because I'm on their express plan 899 (Php 899) from their promo and from what I understood, I will be charged the regular price of (Php 1,495) after 1 year. Although, the 1 mbps the plan 1,495 offers is tempting, I don't have a need for that much speed yet.
So, should I stay or should I go?
I'd say switch. We've been subscribing to myDSL since 2004. We've had ups and downs with the service before but they're just a phonecall away when problem arises. Recently, we kept getting disconnected and their technician said that we're having a slow connection and he just upgraded our speed! We're still paying 999/mo and I ain't complaining. :)
I'm currently subscribed with Bayantel. They were the first ISP to provide broadband services to Mandurriao, so we kinda stuck to them :) I have no problems with speed but the reliability is something that I have been dealing with ever since. Puro utod-utod hampang ko because of the frequent 1-2 minutes disconnection.
The upside is that they have a very good tech support whenever a major connection problem occurs.
Did you have any luck collecting the Php 500 they're paying when their system is down?
